#TastyTuesday - Wisconsin Cheese Soup

Time for another Tasty Tuesday recipe - last Saturday it was a blustery day here on the NorthCoast, and I think blustery always calls for soup! So I made my Wisconsin Cheese Soup and, man, was it delish! That's it right over there...doesn't it look yummy?

Okay, here are the ingredients:

2 Cups of Chicken Broth (you can sub Vegetable Broth if wanted, it tastes just as yum)
1 Cup of Beer (optional, but I do think it adds a little something)
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
2 minced garlic cloves
1 tsp. Cumin
12 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (don't sub Velveeta, pleeeeeeeze, it won't taste the same...and don't sub mild cheddar. For this recipe it's sharp or nothing
1 Cup of Milk

Cooking Directions:

Turn your crockpot on low if you have 5 hours, high if you have less time, and then combine the broth, beer, onion, cloves and cumin. Cook for 4 hours on low; add in the cheese and milk and cook another hour. Voila! Serve it up, you're ready!

**Note: If you only have a couple of hours, put the crockpot on high and cook the broth mixture for about 90 minutes and then add the cheese and milk. Continue cooking until the cheese is melted and serve.
